Privileged day for Women

Dear Mother this article is dedicated to you. I have observed you hustling, struggling and paying the price of being a woman at every stage of your life. Please forgive me as I couldn’t understand how to stand with you while you were going through this process. I am thankful to you for making me a human, I am today. Thank you for giving me birth and teaching all valuable things which made me humble and to learn to serve the world. I am proud to be your son. I love you my warrior mother.   

On the 8^th  of March 2020 every where on earth we celebrated women’s day. Let us learn why do we celebrate Women’s day? 

International women’s day is dedicated to appreciate women’s achievement in the social, economic, cultural, political spheres. The day is collectively founded by women, also brings attention to gender partiality and women’s rights. 

We celebrate this very day to appreciate them and their tireless efforts to play different characters like being mother, sister, wife and so on. Every woman irrespective of caste, creed, color, and race has liberty to celebrate this wonderful day. 

But how long this celebration lasts? 1 Day? Or not even an hour? By the way, we have learnt from our fancy political parties, who are expert in showing women as a head of the party but someone else is running the show.

Are we Civilized, today ?

If yes, then why is this gender still fighting to make their place in this stereotype society to get equal status ?

  

Why the duties are being assigned to them as per their gender or is there still  a question mark on their capability? 

Why they need to dress differently, to match the norms made by society where the definition of society is itself vague? 

Why they have to follow those evil customs and religion which is made by unknown human beings? 

              Celebration

Celebration is that occasion which is tagged as a special day. We can also call it as an important day or event that occurs in an individual’s life once in a year for an example birthdays, marriage anniversaries etc. The same goes with women’s day. The international Women’s day which comes on 8^th march every year.

The main agenda behind any special kind of celebration is that to make the person feel special as it is her or his special day to feel loved and cared, where this individual can expect good things from his/her lovable ones. These things might be happening in the event of birthdays, anniversaries but it rarely happens when it comes to Women’s day.

 Let’s face the truth, though we have reached in 2020 we are yet to be civilized in a true manner as we love this game of dominance. The traces of discrimination are still prevailing in our society. May be majority of us are convinced with the lie that this is how life is. 

You do not have to look outside to experience the discrimination against women. Your quiet observation at your own home will lead to surprise you that we ourselves act negligent towards the special ladies of our lives and all begins from home. 

Let me be very straight to you that you don’t have to feel bad and ashamed of yourself regarding your behavior towards them, we are wired and used to treat women the way our male members treat them and that’s how we learn from our elders. Our elders treat them in their ways because they are following the customs prevailing in the society from no time. 

Let us give a thought on this how many times in your life, have you appreciated your mother for her tireless efforts and love towards you, your sister or wife who stand with you as a strong pillar.

Note:- For those my dear male friends who are subject to get the love and care from their mother, sister and wife I have empathy for you.

Let’s consider this how many women would have been privileged to celebrate this day in true sense? 

How many of them would have got an off from their house hold work? 

How many men would have dedicated their time towards their ladies to treat them by taking care of all domestic work and making them feel special for this day? 

Very few I would say. But for us, this very few also makes us immensely happy as we could see, it has started and this beginning of something is good.

 Woman 

Literal meaning of a woman is an adult female gender. Drastically different from male gender. They are appreciated for their beauty. They get respected as per the character they play such as a woman gets more respect and importance when she is playing the character of mother as compared with other roles such as a sister, wife or any other.

Their turn also comes but when they play character of a mother. 

Society always acts as extremist when it comes to a woman. Narrow minded people believe that the only work of woman is to bear children.

 On the other hand people treat this gender as goddess.

   Character of Mother 

This species is that who works tirelessly for her home, expecting nothing in return and she is always on a giving mode. This character is the most victimized and tortured but still keeps forgiving, isn't ? 

She is master in following the rules and regulations made by close-minded people who exists at her father’s home first then secondly in the society where she educates, learns, plays, spends her majority of time building herself, then thirdly at her husband’s home, fourthly at her children’s home and till she takes her last breath where ever she stays, she will always pay her dues to be a mother especially being woman.   

You can call it as a blessing or curse but when it comes to the child of her womb she can go to any extent to satisfy its desire . Her attention gets shifted from her to the child of her womb. Her whole life gets revolved with the child and nothing else matters for her. 

Character of Daughter

When a woman plays the character of a daughter, her script gets upgraded gradually. What kind of food and the quantity of food she consumes? the kind of cloths she wears ? sort of career she chooses ? to who she gets married  ? her dreams ? everything is being scripted. 

We would like to share our observation with you. Girls go on diet to become slim and trim in order to be eligible to get married. They need to dress as per the rules and regulations set by society as she and her parents will be judged on the basis of what a girl wears. 

Whichever education she chooses she has to end it at her husband’s home. While going through this journey she, her parents and of course the 'lovely relatives' are preparing her to make her an ideal and a perfect wife.

                        “A perfect package in an imperfect market.”

  Character of Sister 

While playing the character of sister she faces less challenges in case she has her other siblings as sisters. And if not , a brother, as her sibling then her game of sacrifice begins at early age as it becomes her responsibility to take care of him. The love and attention of their parents gets shifted towards her brother as he is a boy and slowly and gradually all the immunities and privileges gets snatched by her brother. All she will have with her is the skill of adjustment.

 Character of Wife  

Once she becomes a wife of her husband, her identity which she has been carried for all those years gets changed with her name. Honestly, a woman has no name of herself. She has to affix her father’s name before marriage and later her husband's. We all are well aware with the situation of a married woman all over the world and the increasing number of offenses against them though we have reached 2020.

How is it to Be a Woman in today’s Civilized Society?

Only a woman can be the best person to answer this question because they are the one who are struggling to face the real world every day. When we say real world , it refers about the world we earn our daily bread, where we travel, where our humble homes are.

Do you know how it is to be in an uncomfortable situation? A Woman is that human being to answer you this question as they are used to live in a discomfort zone. They are well versed with the bad touch, discomfort while travelling in a crowded bus, a dirty stare, feeling of fear while walking on a deserted road and so on.

Today, we call ourselves modern in this 21st century, where we live among the heinous crimes like rape, sexual assault, insult to modesty, kidnapping, abduction, cruelty by intimate partner or relatives, trafficking, dowry death still rising at higher pace. 

We have empathy for those who have daughters, as we know how difficult and courageous it is to nurture a girl child in such a society.

What’s the solution? 

Responsibility on Woman towards her Son

 Earlier, we said it all begins at home. We mean that we all are aware that the mother is the first teacher of every child. She is that artistic person who gets the chance to perform on the blank white empty paper and she has the full liberty to draw as she wants. 

As we have already mentioned that when it comes to the child of her womb she can go on to any extreme level to comfort her child but most of the times this leads to pampering, honestly, we don’t blame you, it’s impossible to differentiate  love and pampering. A mother can’t keep a barrier and love her child.

However, this pampering spoils the child to get ruined entirely, when a mother overlooks the ill behavior of her child, from where he is wiring it from other adult members of home. She neglects the mistakes of her child thinking the gravity of it is very less along with that she hides her "prodigy’s" lies. So he should not feel offended. All she does to protect him in order not to kill his confidence. 

On the other hand, the child gets well convinced that he is always been forgiven irrespective of his actions. Because of lack of discipline her child’s mistakes turns into offences and offences are punishable in the eyes of law. The sad part of any offence is that it is not the only offender who loses his life, along with him it’s the victim and her family also gets subjected to their life and gradually the world who witnesses the crime.

Our humble Plea to Women

Dear Women,

                    Your first responsibility is to widen your love and care towards others too and not only to the child of your womb, family, community or nation. You should not hate your own species i.e. your own gender. Your ill treatment towards your own sisters will make the male species action easy to get a reason to hate your species. Do not push your life partner to slog for material possession. Now you are in the free world, you can go ahead achieve whatever you want or else your nagging towards any material possession will simply destroy the peace of your home. 

Remember Lady “You should be respectable and eligible to be respected and nobody is going to respect you only because your gender is female”.
