Life and Business Lessons by Mark Zukerberg.

Today, let's learn about the life and business lessons from a BOY who became a billionaire at the age of 23 and when he turned 31 his wealth was estimated to approx $46 Billion. He had not inherited his wealth, but made it from scratch in only 12 years with the creation of a single product: - Facebook.

Hello everyone we all use Facebook and we all are well aware with this social media which is made to connect people. It is a blessing for everyone, especially people like us who can share their point of view with the world.

                                            Thank You Mark Zukerberg.

So let’s begin…

Before knowing anything about him let us tell you that he is the youngest philanthropist who has promised to donate 99% of his Facebook shares to charity, during his lifetime, which shows the level of commitment towards the world we live in.

Why we earn money and why we have the desire to become rich? Charity? For betterment of the World?  Is  it?
Think!! you very well know the answer...

Lessons by Mark Zukerberg
A commitment to education, from an early age, stands you in good stead later in life.
When he was a child he won academic prizes in math, astronomy, physics and classical studies, he was a captain of the fencing team, and by the time he applied Harvard University, he could read and write French, Hebrew, Latin and ancient Greek, in addition to his native English.

Prima facie when we look at Mark all we can see his wealth but after learning about him we come to know that the medium of his wealth is Wisdom. And wisdom is easy to find as it is available in great books.

Don’t ever be embarrassed about being smart, or about having a diverse range of interests.

“I got my first computer in the 6th grade or so. As soon as I got it, I was interested in finding out how it worked and how the programs worked and then figuring out how to write programs at just deeper and deeper level within the system.”

It is never too soon to discover your passion and start developing your ideas.

The network of people around you has a significant impact on the likelihood that your projects will succeed.

“ All of my friends who have younger siblings going to college or high school- my number one piece of advice is: You should learn how to program.”

A formal education at a universal will not suit everyone.

Spend time experimenting with your ideas so that you hone (sharpen) your skills.

You need to be excited about what you create. If an idea doesn’t thrill you, it won’t thrill anyone else either.

Mark of Hacking.
“The hacker way is an approach to building that involves continuous improvement and iteration. Hackers believe that something can always be better, and that nothing is ever complete.”

Be aware of security and privacy Laws.

Be prepared to rework your ideas.

How Facebook was made ?

“I literally coded Facebook in my dorm room and launched it from my dorm room. I rented a server for $85 a month, and I funded it by putting an ad on the side, and we’ve funded ever since by putting ads on the side.”

The very best ideas are simple.

Be very careful who you talk to, and who you work with, during the early stage of your projects.

Launch your products in a market you understand.

Even if you are the person with the original ideas, you don't have to develop it alone, and should avoid even trying to do so.

Mark’s aim behind making a company.
“My goal was never to just to create a company. A lot of people misinterpret that, as if I don’t care about revenue or profit or any of those things. But what not being just a company means to me is not being just that- building something that actually makes a really big change in the world.”

A company cannot grow without money, either from income that it has generated, from investors.

Every company must have an exit strategy.

A company has to make a profit: that is its purpose.

If you are unsure about how to develop your income streams, or even what those streams should be, ask for expert advice.

You do not need to build every aspects of your company from scratch.

Only buy into other companies which enhance your core offering.

If you can see a company which has significant growth potential, and is cash generative, think about adding it to your portfolio.

Communication is key to everyday life.

Even if you think that something you have done, or plan to do, is a good idea, you need to be able to explain it in a cohesive convincing way to other people.

You need to strike a careful balance between being yourself, and doing what investors and customers expect.

Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised on some occasions, and sorely disappointed on others.

“When I was in collage I did a lot of stupid things and I don’t want to make an excuse for that. Some of the things that people accuse me of are true, some of them aren’t.”

When you win, be gracious, and humble.

Treat those you work with fairly.

Legal cases can be expensive, and even if they don't upset your firm financially, they do no good for your reputation in the public eye.

 No idea is without flaws.

When you do good, you can also earn benefits for yourself.

Be prepared to laugh at yourself.

Although you shouldn’t boast about your generosity, there is no need to hide it either.

If you make money, you have a responsibility to give back to the community which has helped you succeed, and do so in as effective manner as possible.

Change in your personal and professional life can significantly alter your outlook on life.

Be open about the issues that are important to you, and use your platform to advocate change.

Find a partner who is your equal, in life as well as in business and shares your values.

Let’s summarize the lessons we learnt.

If you have an idea then develop it, if it doesn’t work out, have another one and develop that too. Do it until you are satisfied with it and which is commercially viable (capable of working successfully )

When you have found the idea focus on it. Mark does it every single day since a decade. According to him it has taken great deal of blood, sweat, and tears, not to mention brain power, to get this far.

Remember that human communication and interaction are the most powerful and emotional channels we have. If you can tap into our desire and need to engage with one another, in a way which is effective but unobtrusive, you have the basis for successful company.

Give back to the society you live and work in. No one succeeds on their own, and whether you are at the top of your game, or still climbing the ladder, you have a responsibility to contribute your time, money, energy and ideas to making the world you live in, a better place.

“Even if you live and sleep work, still you need someone in your life to support you when things are tough. Don’t overlook your personal life if you want to be truly rich.”’

Think carefully about what you can do, in each aspect of our life, to apply Mark’s lessons. Your ultimate goal is not just to make money, but to be fulfilled, and to play a positive role in the world. Mark Zukerberg is a role model for us.

With Love,
Your Rabbi & with the Love of his life.....
